Why the site is not online yet? why does the “migration” take so long? We need to enlight some points: during mid march 07, Dan, the creator of Blogmusik, received an injunction to stop the site from the SACEM (the French RIAA). Why? Because even if the concept of the site was a player giving access to all the music files hosted on the web, it was completely illegal with regards to copyright laws. All other sites working on this model are also illegal. That’s why, we’ve decided to enter in talks with both the French authorities and the music majors and indies. During these weeks, we’ve worked a lot with the music industry on the future of our model given we didn’t want to stop the service but we wanted to pay for the rights. As you may know, this kind of talks take time and now Blogmusik can re-open this time in a legal framework. Come back Monday the 9th, we have a BIG SURPRISE for you.
В двух слова: на нас наехало RIAA и пояснило нам, что занимаемся нелегальным делом. Поэтому решили все делать легально, т.е. платить отчисления.
Жаль. Быстро ребята сдались. Умер хороший проект.
